Outline of Japan Council for Renewable Energy
1) Organization Name : Japan Council for Renewable Energy (JCRE)
2) Date of Organization established : June 8th, 2007
3) Background till establishment : The international conference focusing renewable energy was held in Makuhari-Chiba October 9 to 13th, 2006, initiated by Japan ad-hoc organization covering all RE areas. This was well successfully performed with 1063 researches, academia and industry from 55 countries. For the exhibition, visitors summed more than 20,000. In recognition of the closing communique and the support by the government, firm organization, not temporary, was built named as Japan Council for Renewable Energy (JCRE).
4) Philosophy of Organization : Renewable energy is a resource of treasure for all global human being.
we are living in One World. Therefore, our slogan is “Advanced Technology Paths to Global Sustainability”
in developing the renewable energy.
5) Feature of Organization
■Heading by the first line academia, three government backed organizations, NEDO, AIST and NEF are incorporated as the pillar of organization.
■keeping channel with academia league and industry league to be supported
6) Principal Activity and Plan
1）International Conference : held every 4 yrs in Japan, and intermediate year in Asian country.
2）International Exhibition : held every year in Japan
3）International Forum : held except the year of International Conference held
4）various support activities along with organization philosophy
