Research activity on Biomass conducted at Hiroshima University is introduced. Supercritical water gasification which is gasification of biomass in hot compressed water, hydrothermal pretreatment which facilitates the hydrolysis of cellulose in lignocellulosics, and total utilization system of algae where fermentation is employed for material and energy production are included. |
